I need to make art

I'm all caught up on The Vampire Diaries and now I need to make art. Oh yes. I wonder if I'll get any time over Christmas. Chances are NO - but will try.

For the record I'm not a big fan of Lucca. I dig Elijah and his badass self. And that is all I'm gonna say on that...oh except Bella is on the show as Rose - but she is still Bella and I want to ask her how it feels to have escaped the hellhounds..oh but wait! She ironically got bit....tee hee...

Enough fandom crossovers for the night...!
btvs s4: giles finger up - hush

so if people leave here....

Where do they go? I mean I know that lots of folks are on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr (which I still haven't really figured out) but is that? Is there some special new blogging/journaling place that we haven't been told of (those of us that are left)?? Hmmmm? I mean is there another place that allows you to have both public and private posts that really remain secure? That is what I wonder as I sit here tired beyond repair and fighting going to bed. When I should totally just go to bed!

So why is it that people are leaving so much? Is it that the other interfaces are quicker and require LESS - just short bursts of info? I guess that makes sense. But still, I can't seem to let LJ go and I know there are few die-hards as well. And even so, I consider other avenues in which I can continue to meet new people and reach out to the world-wide-web that are broader than LJ appears to be these days.

In non-internet pondering news, I didn't watch anymore of The Vampire Diaries tonight - or any TV now that I think on it. No I picked up the kid, hit the grocery store for items for his class party tomorrow, came home, at dinner, then headed out again with the kid and mom in tow to meet with the kid's karate professor. Meet about what you ask? Well his lovely holy teenage nonsense of course. Then he had his class and Mom and I grabbed some Starbucks before heading back to pick him. We've been home since about 9:35pm and I'm been a pumpkin ever since. Fighting the urge to go to sleep like a little wussy baby because I have to get up for work so early.

And yet I'm going to bed now like a little wussy baby because I have to get up for work so early.
Sleep well and be good to each other (and yourselves!)

vampire diaries take 2

Well I now have only watched 3 eps. And Alaric is back - yay! I was a bad fangirl and didn't watch any last night...
But hey! I had to set up a new user acct for the boy with parental controls.....and allow him time to do homework on the computer!

tVD: stefan b/w SO HOT

Thanks to the CW marathon I'm....

actually watching season 2 of The Vampire Diaries. Like I've said before it wasn't a conscious decision to NOT watch. However, when they moved Big Bang to Thursdays at 8pm I could not let my DVR record over THAT! (No I cannot record more than one thing - long story for another day!)

So here I am; 11 episodes have aired and I have yet to watch one. Or rather - HAD yet - to watch one. I've now watched 2. Yay me! No not I'm totally current with the marathon as I wussed out last night and was asleep by 9:30. What? I get up at 5:15am yo! Tonight I finished the 2nd episode and will watch episode 3. Then I'll go to sleep again. I do have eps downloaded so I still may find myself on the PC rather than TV watching but I've still been inspired by the CW!

Lots of stuff happening in this second season. I might actually say too much stuff. At least for the season opener. It was just jam-packed and a bit too much for my taste to have the timing and pacing right. The 2nd episode did flow better. Although. . . . it's beginning to be kind of funny how many people are learning secrets. I mean really. Are we going to learn that 1 out of 3 residents are vamps? I'm exaggerating (of course) but it IS a little silly.

And while I still find the entire Stefan/Elena/Damon triangle to be stimulating AND interesting and yet so glad she is still Stefan's girl (sorry Damon) - I just have to know. WHERE IS ALARIC?! But don't tell me because I hate to be spoiled....

And with that I will bid you adieu...or is it good night?
sgu s1: tj & varro - bonding

careful what you wish for..

Tonight is the SGU mid-season finale. I'm sad about that. Such a damned good show. I'm all caught up and now gonna be irked that we have a break!

I'm happy to report that I'm totally caught up on Supernatural. I'm so glad that we have gotten some answers. But I'm still on the fence over the season as a whole and I fell asleep during last week's yawner of an episode with fairies. And no I didn't re-watch the parts I dozed over. I hope that is the low point of the season!

Well my back is still sore and thus I'm gonna go watch some more TV. So many more things to clear off the DVR!

Don't forget shed_this to post!
lost s1: jack can't crash

oh damn you nostalgia..

So here I sit with a STILL sore back (yay) that is trying to go out. Naturally I don't want it to go out because not only would I miss work on Monday but then I'd miss the rest of my 4 days off for the holiday! So no gym today. No running around today. Much rest and IBUprofen is a YES.

Anyway, here I sit. Still running on high from the awesomeness that was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and seeing friends, soulswallo and kimbrchick (not that the latter ever get on LJ anymore...). We watched Serenity yesterday afternoon (or rather they watched and I MOSTLY watched and dozed..). And now I'm nostalgic. I wanted to do some screencapping and perhaps make icons for the movie. Maybe pull out some Firefly DVDS and watch. But dammit - I have so much to watch that is current. So we'll see if I give in to nostalgia's heady scent or if I due my true due diligence as a fangirl and get caught up on current shows like, SGU, Castle, Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, etc.

Yeah let's see what wins. OR maybe I'll watch one of the cheapy movies I found last night at Target. Ha!

In other news, I'm trying to allow my son to live through his teen years. And frankly he just began them. But color me annoyed, irritated, pissed off, and disappointed in his lack of . . . . respect. Part of it he can't help; this is very common for kids at this age. However, I HATE that particular kind of way of thinking. Just because it's normal doesn't mean I like it. Or put up with it. Or allow it to continue. The good news is that it isn't constant - it does come in waves. However, I never was a good surfer (sharks you know) so I may end up needing a good hiding place to dispose of the remains....any ideas?

I hope you all have enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday. For the most part I have - or I've been trying to. Afterall this was was the first time since 2002 I actually got to have the Friday after Thanksgiving off with pay. My previous employer (department store) was of course always open the day after. Yay....

Oh speaking of nostalgia...I pulled out the first LOST icon I ever made of my beloved Jack. I have actually never deleted that from this LJ account. But damn - I MISS THAT SHOW. STILL!!
